The state of Hawaii is considering a bill aimed at gradually raising the age of sale of tobacco products to 100 years. As reported replyua.net citing CNN, the legislative Assembly of the state of Hawaii will consider the bill on raising the age of sale of cigarettes by 2024.
It is reported that under the new law, next year Hawaii will not sell cigarettes to persons under the age of 30 years. In 2020, the age of sale of tobacco products will increase to 40 years. In each subsequent year, the age will rise by 10 years until you reach 100 years by 2024. It should be noted that in the U.S. state Hawaii are very strict laws governing the sale of tobacco products. 3 years ago Hawaii became the first U.S. state where the age of sale of cigarettes was increased to 21 years.
Earlier, the State statistics service of Ukraine said that starting in 2010, the Ukrainians began to spend on cigarettes and alcoholic drinks 3 times more money. Starting from the 3rd quarter of 2016 and to 3 quarter of 2018, expenses of Ukrainians on alcohol and tobacco products increased a whopping 56%.
